Yes, the ceramic coating is what I went with. Bought them about 8-10 years back, have had them on my car about 5-6 years. Rust just starting to poke through this year. Others had rust in a year or two.
Powder coating may last longer, not sure.
If you do nothing, you get a rusty mess in a year or two. (just like the originals)
I think their (darker) grey looks better than the silver, but that is just my opinion.
