I recently removed the whole shifter assemby from my car. I am swapping to a TH-400 from the ST-300. I removed the old detent plate and installed the new one for the 3 speed. I had also removed the neutral safety switch to clean the assembly up. Now, going back together, it looks as if the switch was never connected to the shifter, but rather left in the neutral positon. How do these two mate together? I see no provisions for a pin or anything on the bottom of the shifter. The switch has a notch in it, but how does this connect to the shifter base? I tried looking at an exploded diagram, but still can't tell. Anyone have a picture of theirs? This would be most helpful.
