So I pulled my valve covers because gaskets were a little leaky
.
To my surprise I noticed the metal cover over the valve springs was broken off on 3 springs

I really hope I have retrieved the broken pieces...

Question is does this require a complete valve job
and what might have caused this
No current pic but these are on top of the spring
