Yeah, unless it's numbers correct for somebody's Bird or GTO build, it ain't worth near $1500.
One of the most common & desirable 400 blocks is the 481988. It has all 5 motor mount bolt holes on each side, so that it can be used in pre-'70 bodies, as well as '70-up bodies. They usually go for around $400-$600, depending on where they are & condition. Obviously, a good clean one that will safely bore .030 over would be worth more than one that must be bored at least .060.
So, if your '67 is not a GTO or Firebird block, I can't see how it could be worth more than a 481988. And the cast rods & pistons are practically worthless.
Not trying to bust your bubble. Just stating facts. But hey, you might find a guy with lots of money who has been looking for a 400 block in your area, without success. Never know 'til you advertise it.
Need to post block casting number & block code, as well as pics. Lots of guys take the bare block to a good machine shop & have it checked for cracks, and checked to see how much it needs to be bored, before trying to sell it.
Here's an engine ID page. You can enter 1967 in the "Year" block, & 400 in the "Engine" block, & see 3 pages of codes for '67 400 engines.
