What’s the best way to disconnect the brake lines to remove the subframe? I’m guessing that wherever you remove them fluid will drain and leak all over, correct? Is it best to do this near the master cylinder or lower down?
If your car has a lot of corrosion don't be surprised if you end up breaking,stripping or twisting bolts etc. Things are 50 yrs old. In a lot of cases it will be better to assume your going to replace most of what you take off. Try to get OEM and/or NOS parts. They fit unlike most of the after market stuff. Not all after market is bad. New after market engine parts etc. are generally above average quality.
