First Question on here but I've been reading stuff for years here to help me with making decisions about restoration/repair to my 67 convertible. Now the real work has begun. About to separate the front of the car from the back to change the body mounts. Engine is out, New engine is waiting and so is the TKO 500.
I have a question about what shifter boot and lever you guys may be using. Im looking at a Hurst lever:
So, does anyone know what the dimensions of the Boot base above are? I don't thing the Eddie Motorsports bezel is the right size so I may need to have one custom made. I guess I can order the boot and measure it myself but I was wondering if anyone else has solved this problem.
Also, do those levers seem reasonable for length and position? The car had an old Mr. Gasket lever that was too far forward for my liking.
