Thanks for the response. I believe you to be correct. Found in a box of leftovers when engine was rebuilt. If this part is left off will the heat riser oscillate like a metallic percussion system, or could engine builder possibly have left it off intentionally? To put on, just remove 2 bolts off of filter housing right? Have to check if rubber part is available or may have to make my own out of vacuum hose
