Thanks my friend. I replaced my original (frayed cable connection at carb linkage) a few years ago and had to modify the hardware link at the throttle assembly. Its holding up well so far. Man, that was a pain getting the wire cable through the guide tube under the dash, but I got it done. I think its a great idea to have a spare stored in the trunk just in case. AND you have to have very sharp and strong wire cutters to keep the newly cut cable end from fraying. The manufacturer recommended tight electric tape wrapped around the cable prior to cutting, and that was darn good advice.
