I am very soon about to start the frame off build on my 69. There is a lot of rust...
I am going to need things like rockers, roof, trunk floors, bracing, window linings and more. As of now, this car is pretty much a total loss if I were to try and sell it. It will be my first venture in the art of serious metal work, and if I mess up, I guess that's not much worse than what I got. I would rather try and fix her, than risk the world loosing another First Gen!!! As of now, the car is a numbers matching 350, with a 3 speed upgrade from the powerglide, and some upper engine parts. It has around 95k miles on the odometer.
On to the question. My local summit stocks almost all the Auto Metal Direct parts that I would need for the build. My brother has used some of their parts for his 68 C-10, and said they were pretty good on quality and fit.
Does anyone have experience with this company on firebird parts?
Is there a better company to go with, and or a reason to not use AMD?
