My Dad bought this '69 Firebird 400 convertible in 1980. It always sat too low in the rear. Around 1989 he put new leaf springs on it, but it still sat too low in the rear, so he put air shocks on it. You can lift it up this way but then it rides like a truck.
I'd like to find a set of leaf springs that will lift the car an inch or so over stock. There's a car locally that sits up in the rear, like a muscle car should. It has larger than stock tires on the stock wheels, and looks really good. It has 5 leaves in the springs and doesn't have shackles. I asked the owner where the springs came from and he said he bought it that way.
I've called Jegs, Speedway, and others and I've only found 'lowering' springs.
There must be a spring with equivalent dimensions but with more arch to them. Has anyone been through this?
