I have rebuilt them in the past, but they will they eventually end up leaking again because they use an aluminum piston in a cast iron bore. This is the reason why I suggested to have them sleeved. Also, if they were poorly maintained with no fluid changes the bores are probably deeply pitted anyways and the stainless-steel sleeve will take care of this problem also.
