One more question if I may,
Is it true of the rear brake shoes as the fronts that the shoe with shorter lining always goes forward on the car and the shoe with longer lining always goes rearward?

And lastly, are the main pins (big pin on top of backing plate) for the drum brake shoes adjustable? I was reading that some early 60s pontiacs had those main pins whereby they could be adjusted to skew the shoe set either forward or rearward in the drum to better center them.
