Hi Everyone -

My '69 has had a hole in the dash for years. I finally located an original AM radio to fill that hole, but I need some info on how the radio should be mounted.

The radio itself has 2 shafts each with a nut locking them into place. Am I right in assuming that there is a second nut on each shaft that is supposed to mount it? Does that nut fit in front of the plastic dash bezel or in front of the metal dash behind the bezel? Or should I be using the nuts that are already on the radio for the mounting as well? I'm just not sure from any diagrams.

Also, the diagrams that I've found look like there's one screw on the passenger side of the radio that attaches it to the mount, but it looks like maybe there's supposed to be one on the driver's side as well?

And lastly, what's the story with the wiring? My car doesn't have any wiring in it for the radio. Is there a harness that I can buy somewhere?

Thanks!

Tim
