Hello! I just picked up a 1968 Firebird 400 last week. I'm the second owner since 1970.
Mostly original aside from a repaint in the 80's. Not a show car but there will be a few things needing refreshed and I am looking forward to gleaning some knowledge from this forum.
I'm not a mechanic, but enjoy doing my own maintenance. I will most likely ask a few dumb questions here and there. Apologizing in advance as this is my first First Gen. Only other Pontiac I have owned was a 77 Formula in high school/college. Over 30 years ago.
New wheels and tires were the first thing I did. The tires on it were dated 1991! Yikes, glad it was a short drive home.
