I would say go for it... better engineered than the original stuff... BUT, shop around, compair the different brands and products available...

Some are heat and sound, some are just sound, some are just heat etc...

And then, check out the deals on eBay... you can cut the cost in half over ordering from the manufacture, and in many cases be able to mix and match products (more heat barier for areas, and sound deadening over the whole area etc...)
