This is just a curiosity question. On the 67 Firebirds they used non staggered shocks that mount in the rear wheel wells. Why do they also have the mounts in the trunk like the 68/69's use for their staggered shocks? Mine has these mounts in the trunk but are not drilled out for shock mounting and was always curious why they were there if GM never intended to use them.
