I have a 2003 GMC Sierra. Its gas gauge reads as bad as the 40-year-old gauge in my 67 'Vert. When the gauge reads 3/4, that's really 2/3. At 1/2, it's really 1/3, and at 1/4 it's really 1/6. When the fuel warning light comes on, I have 21.4 miles to go.
I've never had a GM car that had an "accurate" gas gauge - and I have owned probably 20 GM cars. (All but 1 were Pontiacs.)
