Just want to add more of the same good advice. I drive a .060 over 455 Pontiac in Southern California. I also went for the Aluminum, and after watching the temp gage soar most of the time, I finally threw it away and went to a 4-row HD radiator w/Copper tubes and brass fins. Makes all the difference in the world. Never goes past the T-stat temp. Also - I run an oil cooler which helps out.
