I think Terry may have nailed it. I recall Scott having belt squeeking issues which more and more tightening wouldn't fix. I've also had the rebuilt pumps fail in less than 15K miles, so I don't buy them anymore. If I were buying a rebuilt, it would be from NAPA. You can get a nice pump from Ames Performance. They also have a stainless separator if you're feeling wealthy.
