I'm thinking you are thinking of the flasher Nash, while they are talking about the steering column turn-signal-switch-a-roo. It is true, because I was replacing mine, they do have 2 different kinds of switches. I'd assume the w/ cornering lights to be safest because you'll have all the wires and leads you need, but the harness might connect up different. My guess would be the "cornering lights" they are referring to are the side markers, but thats just a guess.
