I picked the gas pedal area so that the switch would last longer.
I think that's why there is a surplus of these NOS Olds switches. I didn't want to put any screw holes in anything when mounting so I'm using a clamp around the lower steering column. A 2 inch muffler clamp works perfect. I'm planning on using 3/4 angle for the arm to get it over by the pedal arm.
