I was able to complete a conversion from manual to power steering on my '69 convertible 400 4 spd. The car came from the factory with manual steering and it was truly a workout turning at low speeds / parking. It now steers with much less effort, it now drives like a dream. Wanted to thank everyone who contributes content to this forum, especially Vikki (Yellowbird). I was able to query the archives to get a parts list and preferences on the power steering box / ratio. Then Franks Pontiac Parts in Ramona California had the whole setup including pump brackets and pulleys for my engine, reasonably priced. Frank was very helpful with his knowledge of Pontiac engines and I would recommend him to anyone out there. Wish I could say I did the work, but trusted the labor to the local mechanic.
