I have an old set of repros that came from year one. They fit fine, and they have held up well over the years of 24/7 exposure.
Is it a case of that you're "not holding your mouth right" as you install them? Often, when a part is held in place, the holes don't appear to align. But when the part has all of its fasteners in place, it jumps into place.
Have you tried to install them or are you tossing in the towel based on an eyeball guestimate? If you have tried to install them, and it starts to bind, that's an issue. But if you haven't tried to install them, they could be right on the money and this signifigant syndrome I mention is coming into play.
