hello everyone just wondering if anyone has attempted to install an aftermarket shifter.and if so what did you install.has anyone tried to install an aftermarker shifter(example hurst v-matic) intended for a 70-81 firebird into a 68-69 console with success.just curious i just purchased a turbo action (cheetah scs) gated shifter and to get this shifter to look right and fit to the console i'm afraid that too much hacking will be involved.i have no problems with having a trim bezel fabbed out of alluminum or steel but i just dont want to completely butcher this console.thanks in advance.
