No , they have nothing to do with the tops , but they fit on convertibles....they are oil filled round metal containers ,one in ea. corner of the convert`s, to stabilize shaking/vibrating that occurred in some convert`s. ( they are also called 'vibration dampeners', coctail shakers are the generally used term, not the scientific, lol) and they were different sizes or different fasteners for diff. years , so you need to have correct year. Not sure if they actually could be made to FIT w wrong years.. They are easily installed and/or taken out , only a couple of bolts.... I have taken mine out a couple of times , to easier get to the corner bumper bracket..( had to seal a leak there) hope that clears it up for you Pete. Bjorn 69 vert.
