a old silver bueaty<sp> i have 4 settings its a 110v unit. .032 wire small spot welds. old metal nice and clean. Less than .040 gaps around .020. After i posted i went back and tried again, i think i have a ground issue. I went back and added anouther ground to the old sheetmetal. seems to be working better.
