Maybe Vikkie or someone here knows more than I do about windoz and XP. I backed up to a resore from May, but that resore to the drive include a cookie or login issue that I need to solve.
I have tons of software stacked onto the installed system, and it all wokred well until a power glich or memory leak debacle recent weeks ruined that install.. I built the system over and all was great until a power failure glitched my hard disc. I should have backed up the restored working system, because there is a lot of drivers, some of them not to stable.
I restored a new drive to the May system, but the log in bug I faintly recall from May lingers with this restore. I can't log in to forums and post with that system. I've done the usual delete temp file, delete cookies and that sort of thing.
I hope someone has ideas, because I don't want to build this desktop back from scrach. TIA,
