Hi, Could someone tell me what was the first year when Firebirds had a steering column lock? Was it introduced 1969 when ignition lock was moved to the steering column? Also I am having difficulties getting my '68 Firebird registered here in Finland because there is no steering lock and it was a requirement in Finland from the start of 1968 . Are the steering columns of 1968 and 1969 (or whichever is the first model with a steering column lock) models interchangeable and how big a job is it to do this?
