Is there a way to repair a 69 remote mirror? I have one that has a broken mirror and one of the control cables is loose. The base and head are in excellent condition with no pits. I have another mirror with the cables and mirror intact but a really ugly, very pitted base and head. Is there a way to remove the good mirror and repair the cable? I can't figure out how they got the cables and mirror attached to the mirror head. Anyone know how to take this thing apart and put it back together? Is there a repair vendor that does this?
