You coasters usually have a breeze with the heat. The most unbearable time I have down south was when I helped a friend move back to Ohio from New Orleans. Temps in the 90’s with humidity at a very high dew point and no breeze. I remember toweling off after a shower only wanting to take another.
I guess you just get use to the climate wherever you are.
