Hey guys, long time...

The body man is almost done with the 69.. needs to finish buffing the paint but man she looks sweet.

I'll get some pics as soon as I can... but for now.. i must look for a CI receipt so I can send back a headlight cushion packaged as R/H but really was L/H!!!!

Hey Davey, What was the price tag on the paint job if you don't mind me asking. I got one full coat of clear on sunday then had to go somewhere so I had to quit. Have to block it out and add the last two coats when I get the chance. Lots of work.

Initial strip/body work/paint 2500
Replacement of rear quarter 400
Replacement of small sheetmetal pieces with pinholes 100

so 3k... but the guy did more than amazing work on it... this car had 7.. yes 7 layers of paint.. much much much bondo and needed complete body restoration.. which is now done.. he did so good and im so happy.. stay tuned for pics!

God, I hope that I will find a great body man when I do my car! Glad things worked out for you.

Question: I installed the door weatherstripping. Its very hard to close the door but I wonder if this is normal and it just has to squish down after time?

Hmmm. I dont think she will be show worthy at that time, my dash looks like crud and i still have crappy front park lamps... i need new housings and lenses and the filler panels for the parking lights

yes, our shop rocks.. without it i proabably wouldnt have bought any firebirds to work on

and that would suck!

My new weather stripping (except trunk) squished down over time.

im having a rough time gettting my windows to line up perfectly with the new rubber.. i can get the doors to shut all the way now with a good push

Davey, can you give me this guys name so I can get an estimate!!!??? I need a new paint job and I know for a fact that my charriot has 5 or six or more layers of shi*&y paint work done.

I'm sorry, ive already asked for 2 other guys and he said he is done for the rest of this year and is going to wait and see if he will do more next year.

I will tell you that his initial cost is 2500 for strip down body work and paint, if he has to do some welding he will charge a bit for that.
