mine too, = vents , an early build oct 68, IIRC 4th week also, but built at Lordstown plant
Mine also has standard belts in a deluxe interior and straight bar headrests. A 68 Delco ignition coil but according to other accounts they could have thrown in either one on the line. I should start writing down all of the weird stuff I find on this car.
IIRC mine is dated 10D? , shipping date was 10/24 to Schappe Pontiac ,Madison, Wisconsin...built at Lordstown

Absolutely. I'm working with Kurt S. and a few others on the Firebird version of the Camaro Research Group. I'm not on FGF right now, but if he sends data to yellowbird@thefirstgensite.com , I'll communicate directly and put it to good use.
Hood tach mystery, whats it from?... Seller either told me wrong, or was replaced sometime between 67-79(when I bought it).
67 June build. 1st and/or 2nd digit has over spray, cant see'm, so inserted a ? mark. ??69555 Case is 7.75 long 2.25 high White letters/hash marks with Black back ground 2 bulbs 2 studs in front, and what looks like 4 holes for rivits? center and rear. Pontiac and RPM printed on face. Nothing on pointer cover tab.
From the AC Service Bulletin and the RCTach site I referenced on your other thread , it's a fair bet the leading ?? numbers are either 64 or 56 ... giving 6469555 or 5669555.... neither of which unfortunately return anything relevant when googled with keywords (eg. GM, AC, tach...). Is it the molding number rather than tach assembly number?
Thanks. Looked at those the other day. None end with 555. Maybe a replacement #. GM updated and change #'s alot back then. Have to look at it again. Its a inked stamped label. May try and clean some of the over spray off...
Crickets eh?... While try to post a couple pictures this weekend.
Frogs even...no idea at all.

please help. i have pulled the engine out of my newly acquired 68 bird. looking at the vin stamp and the vin on car everything matches except the last number. (xxxxx3 car..xxxxxx2 engine) what does this mean? did someone on the line mix the engines up at the factory? do i have a gold mine or fools gold? it is a 1968 stamped 350. mystery to me

I would think it was a stamping error. My engine unit number is stamped with one digit wrong too (or the PHS was recorded wrong). PHS records show it as 39**** but the engine stamping is clearly 29****. The partial VIN on the engine matches the actual.
