Ok, having a problem with the new full quarter panels that I got from Classic industries. The problem that my body shop ran into is that the left quarter panel isn't as wide as the right quarter panel. I've contacted Classic Industries and they are having their body guys look into it. The problem that my shop found is that the left quarter panel seems to be 1/4" smaller in width comparied to the right side. The measurements that were taken were ( left side 2 7/8" ) and ( right side 3 1/4" ). Now this measurement was taken an inch up from where the quarter meets the tail panel. The width that was measured is the top of the quarter where it meets the deck lid. If anyone is confused where I am talking about I can send a picture to show where. The help I need is someone who has a 67 with ORIGNIAL QUARTER PANELS to give me the measurements they have on their car. I'd like to know if mine or to short in the width or not. I haven't heard back from Classic Industries, but I'd like to be able to give them dimensions from someone who has original quarters...
Well, so far I've run into a brick wall with the guys out at Classic Industries. I've recieved poor customer service from them. It's taken 4 days for someone to give me an answer about my quarter panel problem and the only asnwer they gave me is that they've check the past year and know one has reported a problem with the panels. How lame of an answer is that!! I did speak with another member of the club here and we found out that he may have a problem with his also. The funny thing is that the dimensions for my driver uarter panel is 2 7/8" width while his passenger panel is the same width and my passenger panel is 3 1/4" width while his driver side is the same as my passenger? So, why can the same reproduction years have diference in the width? Can someone here me scream!!!
