I was looking in the Year one cat and I see the original horn relay is like $55 through them. Autozone has them for $15. Are their any diffrences that would make me want to use my orginal? It was painted over and looks like crap. I was wanting to get a fresh looking one.
Maybe I should just get two of the Autozone ones and keep a spare. Its just a relay right?
You know come to think of it my brother has two spare 69 executive parts cars in the back of the farm. Maybe I could rob them if they have a horn relay. I was just wanted to put a nice new looking one on. But I don't want a junker that will fail in short amount of time.
I have not looked at the schematic on this but does this relay realy only activate the horn? If it fails does that just mean the horn won't work?

First, the 69 executive would have a very different unit. Second, Autozone may say they have it but I would be skeptical until I saw it. Third, a bad horn relay can easily fry your wiring harness.
I know it's a small simple part, but every FB i've owned has fried one. Had to bypass one in my bud's 68 camaro years ago to get home late one night(2 am)...not fun. Have a new one on the self for 3 yrs now. Seems to keep the one in the car working
