Help me understand why a car that's for auction, with the stipulation that you can't look at it, keeps going up and up in price. Why would anyone bid on an obvious fraud or a 'pig and a poke'?
Maybe not even then..... The owner is (supposedly) Ross Sternheimer. Owner of the A & N store chain and also the infamous Secretariat stables, The Meadow. This is either an eccentric millionaire/billionaire OR somehow who knows how to 'pick em' when they steal and identity.
I don't know, doesn't seem that weird to me. I wouldn't want to deal with a bunch of lookers when most ebay cars sell sight unseen. Especially if he has a bunch of them in storage. Pulling one out each time would be a PITA and worrying about thieves coming back.
Sounds like he wants a straight up sell, with no way to back out. I'd guess he pulled in out, washed it and took the pictures he thought did the best and put it back up. What you see is all you get. To much money out there that'll buy that way to deal with lookers and tire kickers. Not that you are Jim, but you know what I mean? from the sellers POV?

I guess I'm old school when I want to see what I'm buying. That was rule of thumb way before all the scammers. Now it's self preservation to want to see. Too many selling air and lip service.....
I agree, I want to see it. But apparently there is a lot of what we call "stupid money" out there. Buying sight unseen for more than it's worth.
I hate ebaying for cars, I spent over a year chasing a race car body, lost many a good candidate, for parts ebay seems to be a bit friendlier, except for the snipers.

its a vert but it bviously needs ALOT OF WORK!!!! from the pics it needs work to the rear valance, a full rear trunk floor with drop off and the drivers side doors looks slightly dented at the bottom. while its a 4 spd car, it will need extensive work to be a show car or even a driver for that matter!!

due to budget cutbacks, the light at the end of the tunnel has been disconnected for non payment.
I wouldn't buy it based soley on the seller being an @$$hole and a sfb. @$$hole: 100 a day storage? SFB: enlarge the pictures to assess the car's condition.
