I purchased a set of Wheel Vintiques Rally II wheels and a set of trim rings. The trim rings don't seem deep enough. The measure about 2 7/8". There is about a 1/2" between where the ring ends and the 5 spoke of the Rally II begin. Contacted the manufacuter and was told that the rings I purchased are OEM for 15x7 wheels. Any thoughts, what is the correct dept???
After a lot of research, I think 2 3/4" to 2 7/8" is for a 6" depth.
And 3" to 3 1/4" is for a 7" wheel depth. There are a number of variables such as back-spacing that mess this up, but generally speaking, these are the sizes I found to be accurate.
I purchased my rings for my OEM 14x6's a year ago, and they were $125. They are almost and exact match from the originals. When I checked a month ago, the exact same trim set of 4 was now $325, so I have no idea why they went up so much. But they are very nice.

I bought a set for the 14x6 from Ames. I didn't realise it at the time but Terry 69firebirdman sells them, and I see no reason why anyone would buy from a source other than Terry.

You might have gotten one of the last sets from one of the vendors then. On December 12, 2006 I ordered a set of repro correct (brushed look) 14x6 wheel trim rings from PY. I've received three different delivery dates over time. The last date past seven days ago. I was billed $250 at the time and now see that they are $350 in their on-line catalog.
