I have my fly wheel out re surficed have a duel force friction clutch I have put the clutch plate on the fly wheel and the clutch housing on top and have lined up the holes to put it onto the fly wheel but there is a 1/4 inch gap between the fly wheel and the housing and there are flex plates three of them on the housing and looks like I could close the gap but will my clutch disingage???? And no I am not going to put it on before the fly wheel goes back on just want to make sure everything fits properly before crawling under my car. I am on jack stands so no room to dick around in.
first i would make sure the disks are in the correct position and the pilot bearing is in deeply. if they are, then the clutch should be tighten up all the way with the dummy shaft in all the way. if one of them is not in the correct position then the trans won't slide in and you will have a gap between the housing and the block. if correctly done the trans should fit right up to the block.
