'67 used the single column fuse box. '68 and '69 used two column. Mine is worn too...let me check another.
Nope, that one is not legible either.
Diagram shows that fuse is connected to a pink wire that is on the lamp half of the bulkhead connector, second column from the left, second row from the top (the position above is empty). I have a harness in front of me and see two pink wires, 16 ga. One goes to flasher, the other to instrument panel. After dinner I will probe and see which it is.

I thought of that and disconnected each gauge, one at a time to test. No difference for each one. The only one I was not able to test (I think) is alternator (generator) gauge. I unplugged the plastic connector from the back of the alternator, but did not unbolt the hot wire. should I try that?
Also, the black wire with white stripe that runs through the alternator harness is not hooked to anything as I could not figure out where it went. (EDIT: Idle stop solenoid. My car does not appear to need one)
I'll try the swap again, but already did that once.
EDIT: NO DIFFERENCE.

take it to an auto parts store with an alternator tester; or
Quote:
A bad connection or open circuit between the alternator output terminal and the positive battery terminal will force the charging current to follow a parallel route through the diode trio and out of the alternator. This heavier than normal current flow through the diodes will cause them to overheat and fail. Consequently, if you have replaced an alternator before because of bad diodes, and the replacement fails for the same reason, there is likely a bad connection or open circuit between the alternator BAT (B+) terminal and the positive side of the battery circuit. Do a voltage drop test to check the entire circuit.
Replacing the turn signal switch corrected the tail light, brake light issue I was having.
Now all I need is to track down the headlight switch in off position, doors closed and courtesy lights off, the rear tail lights and arrows are on, and brightness adjustable via the headlight switch.
