Yes. Here are build month/week, year, series, and body unit numbers from others I've seen. Yours is the earliest 22467 I've seen...two months before the earliest I'd previously logged.
When you get your PHS, please post the invoice date...I'd like to know if there was a backlog in production.
It's interesting that 4Q was stamped twice, I wonder if a group 3 was inadvertently omitted? Please post your billing history when you receive it.

Just received my PHS documents. Vikki, you asked for the invoice date. It reads 02 16 7, so 16th of feb 1967. There are a few things on the billing history I don't understand though. Zone 04 Dealer 149, but I can't find what location this refers to. "State CD To: 19 From: 34", what does that mean? "Holdback 54.40".
I'll see if I can take a pic of the billing history.
Well, the engine is the original at least, thats good to know..
Wouter...the "holdback" is an american dealer term ,it refers to the holdback of money that the factory held , so the dealer could get 'free', not being part of the 'invoice' that the salesmen saw , since they got paid usually in a % of profits, = difference between 'cost' , (invoice) and sale , sales amount...
I dont have the dealercodes to tell you which dealer it was , but that number should be the same as the name of the dealership that sold the car, should be on thee too...the Zone , I have no idea how Pontiac divided up the country...I know how Volvo does..lol
10024 Townsend Pontiac 6300 broadway Merrillville, In.
Know it was where there from at least 65 till 06. New owner from 85 and currently same one, but GM changed code. Moved to Valparaiso, In. in 06(got GMC), and another new code.
Gon'a have to check dealer code on my 67. Wouldnt it be something if they sold it. I worked 2 yrs for the dealer owner who would have sold the car.
I need help in verifying my engine. It was sold to me as a 400 and trusting the seller, I did not verify. I already have an idea what it is but need confirmation from the experts (you guys)on what the engine really is.
Engine code: WD Casting number: 488986 Heads : 46 And it has the transfer lug near the distributor. It also has a 350 stamped onto the front driver's side of the block.
I cannot clearly see the date code near the distributor as it has been covered by gunk and paint.

a couple of months ago. guy i got it from was the one doing my engine, body and paintwork, said it was a 400 WU block, trusting him, i did not verify until it was rebuilt and installed.
BIG MISTAKE.
im gonna contact him and see how we can sort this out. I dont have the funds to do another rebuild and theres no 400 lying around, ill prolly just ask him for my money back.
You have it in writing somewhere that is was a 400? No way it could be a mistake as the pistons, rings and gaskets are different, and cam selection would ideally be different as well.
It's fraud, not a mistake. Was it his engine core, or yours?

yes, i do have it in writing that it was a 400. everything came from the guy, and i was stupid enough to take him at his word. I spoke with him and he agreed to give me back my money. It isnt even about the money anymore, I'm just so ticked off that i spent all that money to rebuild the WRONG engine
