The Injun is not what you'd call a screamer but it should run good in the high 5000's and maybe low 6000's for now. It's built with a lot of parts I already had just to get it on track. The class I'm building for has a 366 cu in limit, but the next level is 454 and I have plans for a full race 440 in the works. Now it's a .060 over 350 with a balanced N crank, forged SD rods, and Clevite pistons. Block is decked to .005, Melling oil pump in a 7 qt Canton road race pan. Cam is a pretty radical Crane Fireball hydraulic, I don't rememeber the specs though, I've had it a long time. Heads are 17 that I ported, had them cut .020 and did a stock rebuild with 1.5 stamped rockers. I plan on changing the heads to a set of 65 cc KRE's in the future anyway. But if the 17's do ok I'll at least change to Scorpion 1.5 rockers. Ignition is a Mallory dual point I had, I talked with the rep at the PRI and he said I can get a conversion kit for it to go electronic, another upgrade for later. Intake is the Torker II I just got and the 750 mechanical I got off epay awhile back. Valve covers I had and the breather is a $10 swap meet find. Headers are 1 3/4 headmans I had laying around. I have an electric fuel pump to use until I buy a RobbMac 550 mechanical. Flywheel, clutch, shifter and M-20 I had. As well as the 3.08 10 bolt posi, ugh, but I had it so why not. I also have a Griffin Radiator that came with the car, never used, still in the box.
I spent most of the budget on suspension, better brakes and safety stuff.

Wanting a Custom fit in an off the rack world.
I don't have time for a job, I just need the money.
I've heard KRE has/had some casting and assembly issues but they are the only ones offering an as cast 65 cc chamber. The e-head 72cc is to big for a 350 with flat pistons. I talked with them at the PRI about this engine, said they could do the CNC port work up front and install the smaller valves for the 350 bore. Then when I build the 440 they could up the valve size and CNC the chamber.
But I've heard SD performance does good work on their heads, might be best to get them as cast and send them to SD?

Seen thier machine work. Stay far away. Have SD supply and build them. He knows thier flaws, and does excellent work.
