I getting down to the nitty & gritty of my build, how do you take the heater control knobs off? I also bought a new lock for the glovebox, how do you remove it? Thanks
Heater control knobs just pull off...I had to use pliers and wrapped some cloth around eack one...still ended up damaging one and replaced them all with new ones.
Their is a screw on the inside of the glovebox / lock that holds the assembly in place.
I thought I had some pictures of the glove box lock but can't seem to find them. As I recall, you remove the lock cylinder from the front, then the bezel unscrews from the housing (using a large allen wrench.) I think there are instructions for doing that in the service manual.

The glove box lock can be a PITA. Been there, done that on numerous occasions. I couldn't find the thread I posted to, so I'll post the pics of the lock removal again.
First depress the tab with a small screw driver. That will release the lock.
Then it should just slip out.
Once it's removed, take a large screw driver and insert it in the lock bezel, if it needs to be removed. Be careful not to bugger up the bezel.
