On my 68 race car the gas pedal parts are junk. I could replace parts and rebuild but it would still run a cable.

Will the 67 gas pedal assembly work in a 68? I could then run a rod with rod ends to the Carb.
Anyone have one? I can get from Ames but thought I'd ask. Terry?

BTW, the stock cable and bracket won't work with the Torker II and Holley anyway.

The pedal assemblies are the same.
Only diff is the 67 rod to carb vs 68 cable to carb, along with cable brkt to manifold..

I take that back, thier not the same.
The 67 uses a rubber bushing in the lever where the rod attaches.
I'll have to double check my 67 & 68 tonight.

Please do, I looked at a 67 maro and it had a rod coming off the pedal pivot which is what I'd like. My 68's all have a cable coming off the pedal frame and out a hole in the Firewall.
Ames shows a 67 assembly that has a bar on the pivot, so I'm thinking that's what I want?

The guy at Ames said he thought it would fit but wasn't sure. 67 had the lever while 68-69 did have cable so I called my local goodmark dealer-resto shop, he's big in Camaros, he said 67-68 Camaros also had the lever, the firewall hole is the same and he can get me one much cheaper if they have it in stock. Sorry Ames...

You got me thinking Bjorn, so I pulled the Goodmark book, they show the same assembly for both cars, but it doesn't show the pedal itself. So my buddy is checking before going that route.
I need it all.

ho428 ,-You might want to check out this book, when building your racecar.. -there's LOTS of mods for F-body racers..

-Also a way better gas-pedal setup (stronger) than original..
