if anyone has seen the new renditions of the 2010 camaro you know there is talk of a new bird if things sell well enough on the chevy side. has anyone heard this besides the mags or is this just more hype from the net? if its true, make mine white and blue!!
p.s. long time no c everyone

due to budget cutbacks, the light at the end of the tunnel has been disconnected for non payment.
I suggest we see if the new Camaro makes it past the 1st year first. With people still a bit wary of gas pigs and with GM's fiscal woes...
I would like to see how sales are after the initial glut of "Gotta have it's" are sold off.

Different renderings circulate on the net, ones that people made themselves as a wild guess of how it could look. I don't think any real plans exist. Also, I doubt they would take a first generation as the base of the design; probably a 2nd or 3rd gen..
that would go against everything gm does.why would they want to make something the people would want to buy?they will get more money from the government if sales are down

And waste more money on developing cool concept cars that will never become production vehicles. At least Plymouth/ Chrysler/ Dodge make many of their concept cars..... and bikes.
I am actually on the fence with a Challenger RT.. Sat in a blue one the other day... 6spd ( yes Terry) Blue, real nice....I'm just waiting for them to give on the price.. Never paid MSRP and never will....

From what I hear, is that they're only considering a 2011 GTO based on the G8 line, since they're looking at retooling the whole Pontiac line to be a mid-level competitor for European vehicles.
By the way, have you seen the El Camino-ish thing they're introducing?

Emphasis on the "ish" part...

"Ute's" have always sold very well in Australia. They will always be a niche market here.
When American's want a pickup truck - they want a "real" truck.

Looks like the ST is not going into production. I saw this letter on PY from Jim Hopson, Pontiac Manger Communications about the ST and the future of Pontiac:
I was crazy for the Solstice until I saw my first Saturn Sky.
Much nicer styling, IMHO

agree , kind of... I would buy a Solstice, then buy the front quarters from a Sky in the same color ,bolt on ,then I`d recess the grilles on the Solstice...about 1-2 inces...dont like them flush
I still think the front end of the Sky looks more Pontiac than the Solstice....
When I bougt my '68 2.5 years ago, it came down to the 'bird, or the 2007 Sky.
The deciding factors were the 'bird could seat five, the Sky 2, and I would have to wait 6-8 months for the Sky... (I have 3 kids, plus my wife)

I think the Sky does look more Pontiac than the Solstice too. The Solstice is my daughter's favorite car. If I bought a new Pontiac, I would go with the G8 GXP myself. I need the passenger room and it's a more practical family car. I haven't test drove the GXP but it sounds like it would be fun to drive.
