Looks like you did a nice job on the Camaro and good luck on the future Firebird vert. Lots of knowledge and nice people here, plus plenty parts to go around.

I agree, beautiful F-Body! There are probably as many "Car Guys" here as there are Die-hard Pontifanatics... But we all have varied interests... Personally I started out with a Firebird as my first car but have had nearly 40 cars since and it's been a WIDE range including a Second Gen Camaro sharing the Garage with my 67 Firebird. (long story & history with the Camaro)
Glad you joined and were willing to share your passion with us! I hope to see that you guys find a great project Firebird in the near future!
Where in VA are you? My father in law lives in Williamsburg.

Nice looking car! You`ll probably get to endure some ~Maro jokes, but all in good jest...Last week at a Cmaro Concept (local seller of Classic Ind parts and FBody restorer) I saw a car almost identical to yours! it was same blue stripe, interior ,but a dark silver exterior...cant remember if it was an SS or RS car, he told me ,but memory isnt 100%....
Welcome aboard!
and in hour local Houston Firebird Group, HALF , we DO have a guy ~Maro Mike , with his black on black convert. 68 Camaro...he enjoys the comradery ,and the 'teasing' that we "let him" join us... so until you get that Bird, you`re "just a cousin" ...LOL
I have always been of the opinion that we can all get along. My first F-body was a Camaro, then a Firebird, then another Camaro. Love them all. After all, they all came off of the same assembly line. Life is too short to spend time bickering about unimportant stuff. And, welcome to the site.
yea to be honest I like the whole GM line up car's truck's and all up to about 1974 after that I don't care to much about them , I own a 67 chevy truck too here is a pic of it ,,,
first off welcome to the site!! my first f-bpdy was a 68 camaro rs. let it go cause no money but bought a bird shortly after. the bird ewas cheaper to buy but the parts needed for it are outrageously rediculously expensive. guess you pay up front or over time. anyway SWEET CAR MAN!!
Andy
due to budget cutbacks, the light at the end of the tunnel has been disconnected for non payment.
Nice Camaro. I myself is a former Camaro guy. The car I owned before switching to the more powerful Pontiac side was a 68 RS/SS Conv. 350. Ermine white w/blk bumble bee stripe, white top w/ blk deluxe interior. Restored the car over 6 years and sold it 5 days after completion at the Camaros at Carlise (PA) car show in 2000. The car ended up on all the promotional materials for Summer Carlise 2001 car show.
Sorry for the little jab, however, after owning both a 68 Camaro and a 68 Firebird IMO there is NO comparison when talking power and performance. Nothing pulls like a Pontiac engine IMO...
