Ok, I know this is probably an easy question for the great minds around here. This is my first rebuild, and my first firebird so please be gentle.
The two piece fuel line from the tank comes up on the passenger side of the car. I have found many people selling the connection from the pump to the carb, but how is the line run from the passenger side to the drivers side where the pump is located? I have considered just running braided hose, but would like to do it correctly. Any and all help is appreciated. Some pics of the car, the last few is after the fresh paint job. http://www.stacyredmond.com/zenphoto/index.php?album=fire&page=3
If anyone has any pictures, then maybe I could bend by example, or at least an idea of the layout now. I have been unable to find this diagram in any of my existing manuals. Thanks to all the replies, I will check out the references above.
http://thefirstgensite.com/library/partscounter/illustrated/carb/fuelsys1.jpg seen as #1 in this illustration. It connects to the main line with a short length of rubber fuel line, and has a threaded connection to the fuel pump. It clips to the subframe using spring steel line clips available from Inline Tube and probably the other vendors as well.
These lines ARE available separately through those vendors I listed earlier by inquiry. They manufacture them in sets but if they have a run going can easily add one to the run, or may have a spare if the other part was damaged in shipping and returned.
