I appoligize that this is not a FGF. It is however, a Pontiac. Therefore I am hoping that you all will forgive me. After exhausting every possible scenario to save the bird, it just was not feasable. The good news is this, the heart of out Bird will live on as it will one day live under the hood of this car along with my mighty M22!
Thanks guys. Yes, the car was just bought off Ebay today. Owner closed the auction 5 hours early and accepted our offer.
Here are the particulars: Numbers matching, Pro-tecto-plate & tons of documentation, Up for auction is a beautiful 1967 Pontiac Le Mans with 54,650 Original miles. This is a numbers matching car with the Original 326 V8 engine and 2 speed Power Glide transmission. The Original 2 barrel carburetor and intake have been replaced with a 4 barrel carburetor and intake manifold. The original carburetor and intake manifold go with the sale of the car. I am the second owner of this beautiful Le Mans. The car has Power Steering and manual brakes which work great. New Master Cylinder, new belts, all new hoses and new duel exhaust system. The car runs great and shifts smoothly. The Rally I wheels and new Tiger Paw tires really look nice and ride great. The Bucket seats and console are in great condition with the exception of the driver’s seat, which has separated in the seat seam as shown in the pictures. But, a new old stock (NOS) seat & back covers comes with the car. The Original AM Radio is not working, I've not investigated the problem. The Heater & Defrost work great. As you can see from the pictures, the paint is very nice as is the interior. No cracks in the dash or on the steering wheel. All glass is in good condition & windows roll up and down smoothly. All the Chrome is in great shape. The engine bay is beautiful as is the trunk. All turn signals, lights (Original T3 Headlights) & wipers work properly. The car comes with the original Owners Manual and Protect-O-Plate. This is truly a wonderful car. I would have no concern driving this car anywhere. I've made several 200 mile round trips to car shows with absolutely no problems. Car runs cool even in the hot Alabama summertime.

My bird engine & trans will be transplanted into the LeMans very soon. Once the motor is out, it's going to our friend's shop for a freshen up. I'm looking to get 450rwhp from it so whatever she needs, she will get. Then my awesome M21/M22 will go in and life will be good!
That's great News Joe! Congratulations! A full Frame car none the less! She looks straight and clean and will be a sweet ride! Love the Rally I's too. I hope, after all the dust settles that you will still hang out with us here... I don't think anyone has addressed that yet, just wanted to make sure we didn't loose touch!

Thanks again and yes, we are VERY excited about this car. We will certainly keep the original motor and trans, but the 400/4-speed will be transplanted. A set of Red Lines will be on the big bad LeMans within the first week or so. They are the only thing missing from that beauty!
Oh yeah, and the 326 markers will remain on the car and there will be NO I repeat NO GTO stuff going on it. Just as is, but with a mighty 400 between the fenders and a chrome stick up through the floor!
I saw a restored Tempest at the Pigeon Forge show, I made sure I found the owner and thanked him for not GTO-ing it. He said he almost did but once he had it finished he was glad he didn't. The Lemans and Tempest are now the ones that stand out from the crowd of GTO clones.
Nice ride you got there.
Wanting a Custom fit in an off the rack world.
I don't have time for a job, I just need the money.
one of our HALFers has a second classic a (I think 67) Tempest w a OHC6, nice car...here , all original supposedly, but with new radiator....and modern "sparks"..lol
I bet you could almost fit your 'bird inside that trunk!
