Just make sure it's manufactured by PUI, otherwise I'd question it a bit more? I would think the kits would be a good way to go as there is more of a chance everything is from one dye lot and same roll of vinyl etc.
That's how I ordered my Blue interior and PUI produced it all from the same lot...
Call them up and ask them for more info? Can't hurt...
I bought the 68 deluxe kit from CI and was happy with it. The molded door panels are made by Al Koch which are supposed to be one of the best. Quality of the fabric for the seats and rear panels was very good.
I ordered the standard interior kit (parchment) and they sent me a black headliner (K12001). Said that was the standard color, but would exchange if I paid shipping. The headliner is the premier grain re-production and not the original grain.
I would definitely call them to discuss as opposed to ordering online.
You can call and get all the details and ask them all your questions, then find out if it's better to order through them or on line etc. They may have some additional discounts they can let you in on etc?
I ordered the complete deluxe kit in pearl parchment for my 68 convertible... The door panels did not match at all (parchment but not pearl?) - They ended up sending me a can of the pearl parchment dye which matches pretty well but I'm not very happy to get a badly mismatched kit.
I ordered door panels, seat covers, rear panels for my conv. from year one, along with a bunch of other stuff and had no trouble...If I didn't like the way something looked they sent me another no questions asked.
Thanks for the input. I live about 20 miles away from the store, so I can drive and look over everything before I take it home. Based on the comments, I'll go over everything with a fine tooth comb!
