I never got a chance to use it. My first car was lost in a fire so I moved onto this car and went a complete different direction. All of the wrenches that I have been using only go in reverse and not forward. LOL I hope to start putting the car back together in a month or two.
I see your 'bird has to compete with the kids' toys like mine.
I drew a 5 foot "do not cross" line around my car. It works fairly well. (after some yelling from time to time)

LOL I keep putting their toys in the porch and in the driveway when ever I work on it. I don't think I can get away with the five foot line. That would only leave a foot in between the work bench. You would have to walk sideways to get to the house door.

Naw, kids are small...

More progress on the other side. Right before cutting. Quarter panel and inner outer wheel well removed. Trunk drop off removed. Fitting of the inner wheel well. All back together and tacked in place.
A lot of smaller projects being done but not picture worthy. The subframe is all welded up solid. I replaced the bottom of the sub where everyone puts the jack. It was pretty dented up, I replaced it with 1/8 which is a little thicker. I have a template made for the Guldstrand mod and that should be done sometime this week. I also went up to 1/2" bolts on the upper control arms. I now have a 12 bolt rearend in my possesion. I need to put the new leafs back in and weld on new perches. The front subframe needs to go back in so I can figure out all of my brake lines.
Some more progress. I sandblasted the inside of the trunk and cleaned up the package tray. I used two different kinds of por15 on the floor. It will all get covered up with some lizard skin and then spatter paint.

Boy am I jealous.... I would love to have the Know how and tools to do just half of what you are doing. I was going to post pictures of me doing an oil change, but not now!!!!!!
I see Rob cleaned up his garage since I was over there last.
Yes, that is going to be one nice car!
And regarding SethMast's comments, I agree. I could post one of me vacuuming out my 'bird.

I'm also thinking we should start a thread with photos of our cars surrounded by our kids toys..... My wife decided to put the rack that holds all the kids T-ball bats right above/beside my car. So far no dents, but it's just a matter of time. The kids bikes and trucks are all around the car. If my wife had keys to the car, I'm sure she would use the trunk for storage.
I drew a two inch thick line all around my car this past spring on the garage floor with a "do not cross" speech to my kids. The line was about four feet out from the car.
Believe it or not, it really worked (fairly well).
My kids are 9,7, and 5. I'm sure age has a lot to do with it.
But in my case, 85% of the stuff in our garage is mine, 10% my kids, and 5% my wife's. (other than her truck)

Keep up the good work!!!!!
LOL Thanks!!! Like I have always said I cannot afford to pay someone to do it for me so I have to find a way to do it myself or with the help of friends.

I have a little paint work left on the inside panels. Then it's on to the subframe. I'm going to put the motor, tranny, and all lines and suspension on the frame and then bolt it to the car. Next will be the rear end and the rest of the brake lines. I hope to have all of that finished by spring.

I am the opposite. I did not find "building" fun. For me, driving the car every day and beating it daily was the fun! Looking great. What is your target finish date?
I'm just wondering what's hiding underneath the blanket? MUAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I think it's a chebby 4 cyl...
