This may seem dumb but my car is still in storage for the winter and I cant look at it for the answer. I want to install new weatherstripping on my 67 convertible, on the vent windows and main windows exactly. How do you remove the old and install the new strips? Are they adhesive? How about the rear quarter windows? My chrome trim piece keeps coming off the window so how can I get it to stay on?
For the vent window you need to remove the inner panels, take out the window and the vent window frame. I installed all new weather stripping from C.I. about two years ago.
The stripping on the doors comes off by pulling them direclty upwards, be carefull not to damage the paint. The new ones click rihgt in. I needed to shorten my strips a bit for a good fit.
