Thanks guys. This has been a tough fight and I am just burned out basically. Next month will be two years that this mess began and it just blows my mind that it has come to this. Oh well, stuff happens.
Tammy says we WILL NOT lose both the house and the car, selling the car will not save the house therefore we will not sell the car! IMO she is being stuborn although I do understand as the car is literally the only thing we have left. We have either given up or sold everything else off so I can see her point. Time will tell.
I can see where she's coming from. On the other hand, if there's other bills to pay, you have to do what you have to do. It'd probably be a last resort for me too, but if it means putting food on the table or a roof over our heads, by all means I'll to it.
Funny how different Montreux Blue can look at times of the day. These pics were taken minutes apart but the color looks totally different. Could be my vision, but wow, doesn't even look the same to me...
Also installed all new dash knobs, vent knobs, correct stickers under the hood, correct black shift knob, dome light base, console latch/lock. This is still all parts we bought back when we parted out the Bird. The ole girl is still contributing to the new car. I still have all new fuzzies, door seals, trunk seal, U-seals, roof rail seals, tail ligt seals to install as everything on this car is original and is just completely dried out.
I also just replaced front sway bar bushings, wow what a difference. Beleive it or not, the originals were still in place! I really hope we can get through this mess and be able to keep this car, it is truly a time piece and is in such flawless condition. We had the car on the lift yesterday and just stood in amazement as to just how nice this car is underneith!
Thanks Gus. The car and this hobby as a whole is the only thing keeping us sane. Yes, living here and being able to enjoy the car and this hobby 365 days a years is also a bonus!
Joe, I know you'll do what is best for the family in the long run, but look at it this way. The LeMans is paid for, doesn't really cost you that much to keep, and is next to irreplaceable as she stands (you've built her up just the way you wanted her to be) and she is part of the family.
I know it may not be practical, but if it came down to that being one of your only choices... well... you guys do still need a car to drive don't you?... Sorry, Guess I can't let go either...
I wish there were more we could do to help... Yeah, maybe one of us can win the lottery for ya...
